Venue offers professional photo shoots for talent headshots by appointment, usually week day early evenings so we can do a few outside in natural light. Generally, we do not to Model portfolios.

We shoot one Digital disc, which is about 65-70 photos, and you get a CD of all photos within a day or so. We do not provide a makeup artist. We believe that photos should have a natural look like the subject when they walk through the door, so makeup is your choice.

We shoot in color, and you can transfer them to black and white if you like. However the industry is (generally) going for color while theatre still likes Black and White. Go figure, they really don't know what they want, but they do want a photo which looks like you.

You can change clothing as many times as you like during the shoot, perhaps every 15 shots or so. We recommend solid colors, no black or white, stripes or bold prints. Some plaids are ok. Darker colors are recommended for darker skin tones. Even Black can look good on a very dark skinned individual.

Wardrobe should be pressed and brought on hangers to the shoot. Bring more than you think you will need. Also consider character shots, like the bad girl / boy, executive business person, etc. You can send photos by email prior to many audition appointments to make sure you are right for the part. Saves a ton of time driving to auditions.

Jewelry should be kept to a minimum as to not distract from YOU.

The shoot usually takes an hour or less, depending on the subject. We do not provide prints, but can lead you in the right direction for your needs. If you require additional time for more looks, a discount is offered for the second disc shot at the same sitting.

Our fee is $100 for the shoot. Venue Members receive a discount, and some workshops include headshots in the workshop fee.
